Yeah, I already fixed it by just adding
export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/location/to/xulrunner

in /etc/profiles

How closely does Firefox use MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME or is it more for developers? Have you seen any adverse effects of setting the MFH variable to the older Xul runner?

I can't play around on mine too much since it is my daily work machine.. oh well maybe 8.0.2 will support 1.9*
